The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered care across the continuum of care. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, care planning, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting positive patient outcomes through evidence-based nursing practice.
The RN supports professional nursing practice through accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. This role also provides leadership through mentorship, quality improvement efforts, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct nursing care while promoting patient safety and positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery goals
• Coordinate care transitions and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Respond effectively to changing patient conditions and clinical priorities
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record
• Serve as a patient advocate and clinical resource
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
• Participate in mentoring, precepting, and team development opportunities
• Delegate patient care responsibilities appropriately based on patient needs and staff competencies
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate care
• Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and fellow nursing staff
• Foster strong communication and collaboration to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Participate in committees, projects, and organizational initiatives that support nursing excellence

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
• Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred
• Previous Operating Room experience highly preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
• CCRN, CMC, or PCCN certification highly valued
• Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unpredictable situations
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and sound clinical judgment
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
• Willingness to participate in on-call responsibilities as required
